Pikoline would like to share the following message of the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The world urgently needs to change the way it prescribes and uses antibiotics. Even if new medicines are developed, without behaviour change, antibiotic resistance will remain a major threat for all of us. Behaviour changes must also include actions to reduce the spread of infections through proper hygiene.

Pikoline as supplier of Animal Identification and Hygiene Solutions sees the importancy of this message. When we look at the industries in which we work, the possibilities to reduce antibiotics, give better insights in animal health by innovative animal identification and optimize hygiene, are enormous.

For example improving biosecurity on farms and food processing plants and prevent infections through improved hygiene and animal welfare are interventions that are inextricably linked to us.
