According to the latest released Agricultural Outlook 2021-2030 of OECD-OCDE and FAO, growth in global consumption of meat proteins over the next decade is projected to increase by 14% by 2030 compared to the base period average of 2018-2020.

Meat production growth is expected to accelerate over the Outlook, with significant contributions from poultry and pork, where a
heightened focus on biosecurity results in a larger share of pork production coming from large, modern
production units.

Significant growing amout of animals on individual farm level will increase the risk of animal diseases and pathogen pressure. This ongoing and growing operational daily challenge makes high level biosecurity more important and even crucial for the professional husbandry.
